Jeffrey Delice of Miami, Florida was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly choked a dog while in the nude outside of a Miami residence, news sources indicate. The homeowner later confronted and shot Delice, who had to be treated at the JMH Ryder Trauma Center. After he was discharged from the hospital, Delice was booked into police custody on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, burglary with assault, animal cruelty, and resisting arrest with violence. It is not yet known whether he has qualified for bail bond. It is also unclear whether he has hired an attorney.
Reports say the incident occurred around 5:00 Wednesday morning at a home along Northwest 56th Street in Miami. According to reports, the homeowner was sleeping until the sound of his dog barking outside woke him up. The homeowner climbed out of bed and went outdoors, armed with a gun, to check on his pet, only to find a nude Delice choking the dog, sources say. The homeowner confronted Delice, but Delice allegedly attacked and bit the homeowner in response.
The homeowner shot Delice once in an act of reported self-defense. The press did not say what type of gun was used in the shooting. It is not clear whether the homeowner will face any repercussions for firing upon the man or if the Florida "stand your ground" law will take effect in the case; thus far, the homeowner is not facing any charges. Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after the shooting and rushed Delice to JMH Ryder Trauma center for treatment. The wound was non-life threatening, though it is not clear where Delice was shot.

It is not yet known whether he has been arrested or, if so, whether he has qualified for bail bond.
